Vice President of Business Development


Mr. Horne is Vice President, Business Development for Allied Energy Services, LLC. Since 2000, Mr. Horne has worked for Allied Energy Services developing energy production projects across the US and Central America. Key projects include an 80 MW project in the Bronx, NY, a 10 MW combined heating, cooling, and power project in Central America, and a 2,100 ton chilled water plant for a university in Georgia. From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Horne held profit and loss responsibility at Virginia Power for the department that develops, sells and implements non traditional energy partnerships for customers by bundling utility bill payment, energy procurement, energy efficiency and equipment maintenance into a single product offering. He successfully sold and implemented a 7 year - $28M/year deal with Hannaford Brothers.

From 1985 to 1995, Mr. Horne held profit and loss responsibility at A&C Enercom for effort to assist utilities in developing district heating and cooling systems, which have been delivered to Atlantic Electric, Wisconsin Gas Company, Sierra Pacific, Toledo Edison, Boston Edison, Public Service of Oklahoma and Florida Power & Light. Subsequently, Atlantic Electric built Mr. Horne's recommended system to serve Atlantic City, NJ. From 1981 to 1985, Mr. Horne held the position of Energy Management Engineer with Pacific Gas and Electric, working with large commercial, institutional and industrial customers to identify and implement demand side management projects.

Michael Horne obtained Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1981 and is a registered Professional Engineer in California and Georgia.
